Curb Appeal Tips from Jennifer Gere your #1 Berkshire Hatahaway HomeServices Real Estate Agent for Monmouth County. Let me start today with it’s really an honor to be a part of Berkshire Hatahaway HomeServices NJ Properties, when I watch HGTV I reminded constantly by the Berkshire Hatahaway HomeServices what a difference we are about to make in the Real Estate world!
I dug up another article from Curb Appeal month which was in August because there were just so many great stories out there that drove home the point of “to sell your home quickly and for market value it’s not just about what’s inside that matters!
The outside is what potential buyers see first and as a Berkshire Hatahaway HomeServices Listing Agent it is my job to help guide Sellers and set realistic expectations for my customers. Sellers my not have the budget to invest in Curb Appeal when they are selling and I have to show them the effects of poor Curb Appeal, how long homes with less Curb Appeal stay on the market, how many less showings that house has had. As your #1 Berkshire Hatahaway HomeServices Real Estate Agent for Monmouth County I keep a log of all showings and inquiries. Inquiries should match showings (number of lock box openings) but when they don’t you know something is wrong, potential buyers have driven by the home and frankly were not interested enough to even go inside.
Enough with that please check this stories out http://www.nwitimes.com/lifestyles/home-and-garden/celebrate-national-curb-appeal-month-and-transform-the-look-of/article_e9be93e2-9a02-52f5-9cf6-96708b0abd5d.html
Whether it’s pride of ownership or fitting in with the neighborhood, the exterior of your home reflects your personality and can create positive impressions. Plus, when it comes time to sell, curb appeal has been proven to make or break that “instant connection” with buyers.
That’s precisely why the importance of curb appeal should never be underrated when you own a home.
August is National Curb Appeal Month dedicated to helping homeowners focus on ways to add value and design appeal to their home’s exterior.
“Real estate agents tell us that potential home buyers make a ‘street decision’ in less than 12 seconds on whether or not to view a home that’s for sale,” Niki Decker, senior manager of product and marketing for Fypon, creator of National Curb Appeal Month.
